We love going to interesting places and meeting interesting people but also believe there’s something special about the everyday.

Emotion and story and capturing that singular moment is what intrigues us. It’s a crowded visual world and we want to make imagery that stands out and inspires intimacy, connection and surprise. Recently our social justice project The Agreement was selected in the Top 100 for Review Sante Fe. We’ve had the privilege to be filming with sugarcane families in Labassa Fiji over the last few years and you can follow our feature documentary project here at www.theagreementfilm.com.

Between us we’ve got a background in design, journalism and film and along the way we’ve raised five dogs and four kids.

Chris was born and bred in Newmarket, Auckland with plenty of tarmac under his feet and his first job was running cash at the races. Pam was brought up in a small country pub in the smallest of country towns, where everyone knew everyone, with her horse in the back paddock. Initially trained as a typographer Chris owned and ran a letterpress print shop while also working in the advertising industry. After a workshop with Magnum photographer David Hearn he became determined to shoot. Pam started at med school but managed to find her way to the Arts department, completed an MA (Hons), won a prestigious Fulbright research scholarship and taught film for a few years.

We enjoy collaborating & thinking strategically, bringing a brief to life and understand the need to deliver unique & brand proprietary results for our clients. We care about the job, but also care about how we get there. Every shoot, and every subject, whether it’s a paua diver in Orepuki or some kids playing in the park or a time-poor CEO gets treated with the same respect and attentiveness.

We’re based in Auckland, New Zealand. As an experienced creative team we know how to pursue the best opportunities and bring together the right people for the job. Chris has directed two broadcast documentaries, both held in the national museum Te Papa. We’ve won a number of photography awards and completed brand image libraries for telecommunications, education and tourism. Having worked closely with film crews and gaffers, we’re a natural fit for working with directors and shooting stills on film sets.
