Unitec Graduates
Our brief was to take a rather dry survey about graduate employment – with lots of statistics and percentages – and make something compelling. This trailer launched the project at Unitec’s 2011 staff awards & the 30 minute documentary will be screened early next year.

C3 - Handle with Care
C3 Limited is New Zealand’s largest on-wharf logistics company with over 600 staff providing services in stevedoring, marshalling, warehousing and wharf cartage.

Williams Warn – The legend behind the beer
A bloke named Ian Williams, no relation, developed a brilliant idea – a micro brewery that you don’t need a geek license to drive. So Studio Alexander wanted some video to launch the machine. We obliged with two – a ‘story of’ and a ‘how to’. Hundreds of thousands of people were looking at the website within weeks of the launch (and we’re not exaggerating). Now he’s talking to a guy in Kuwait, the food network and the Koreans.

Williams Warn – Personal Brewery
You’ve met the man, now meet the machine.

Monteith’s Journey
In December ‘09 we travelled through some remote and beautiful places in the South Island to photograph award winning brand imagery for DB Breweries’ Monteith’s.

The Night Shift – Victoria Park Tunnel Project
With up to 700 workers arriving on site to build the Victoria Park Tunnel on a tight timeline Fletcher Construction wanted something that would inspire the guys to work with best practise – and to acknowledge their hard work and commitment to the project.
We interviewed a number of people across the site with Noah being the youngest, just 18 years old and working on the night shift laying drainage across the motorway.

This was one of two case studies undertaken at the early stage of the project.

Go Forward
Our friends over at PLAY had a pitch TVC commissioned that needed a photographic treatment. 3 Days from go to show. Ow. We employed the Canon 5DII with its tilt-shift lens and were able to produce a good feel without heavy post production.

Mangatoa Seismic Survey – Genesis Energy
After completeing an Annual Report in 2007 for our client Genesis Energy we were commissioned to make a web based documentary on their seismic survey off the coast of Kawhia.
We had captured a lot of material during a two day shoot for this section of the document and it seemed obvious that there was potential to tell a far larger story.
We returned to the seismic crew and recorded interviews with the key players to tell the story.
